This village is located at an altitude of around 850 metres, next to the Barranco de Erques ravine, in what was once one of the municipality’s most important cereal-producing areas.
Thanks to its agricultural origins, this village is home to an attractive ethnographic site in the Montiel area, where you can find an old house with a threshing floor and, nearby, a cistern, a wine press and some tile kilns.
One of the best activities to do in Vera de Erques is to walk along one of its traditional paths, which allows you to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding Vera de Erques, as well as beautiful views of the municipality, especially the Isora coast.
