Crown Forest Natural Park

The forest that embraces the mountains

The Corona Forestal Natural Park is the largest protected natural area in the Canary Islands, covering an area of 46,612 hectares, a significant part of which belongs to the municipality of Guía de Isora.

The Corona Forestal is a lush forest of pine trees and other high mountain plant species surrounding the Teide National Park. In the past, it was subject to logging, but today it is a large natural park where you can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.

It is an ideal area for hiking and observing the abundance of plant and animal species.

Given its large size, you can discover the diversity of this park, from dense pine forests to vegetation characteristic of higher altitudes, and if you continue climbing, you will reach the Teide National Park.

Remarkable ravines, caves and lava formations are some of the features you will find in this landscape surrounding such a magnificent volcano, making this a unique place in the world.

There are endless possibilities for activities in this park, including stargazing, picnics, cycling, and exploration. There is something for everyone in this great Corona Forestal Natural Park.

It is undoubtedly one of the most important landscapes in Tenerife and can be accessed from the municipality of Guía de Isora.
