Whale watching

The south-west coast of the island is the ideal place to enjoy whale-watching. In our municipality, you can observe these animals in the wild thanks to specialist companies that organise excursions, such as the one based at Playa de San Juan, which has been awarded a quality charter guaranteeing a responsible tourist service that respects the animals and has a minimal impact on the marine environment. During the excursion, accompanied by expert guides, you’ll be able to observe different species such as bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins, pilot whales and fin whales, amongst others, whilst learning about their life, behaviour and natural habitat.

Whale watching in Guía de Isora is available all year round, as many species are resident, although some are only sighted at certain times of the year. In addition to this unique experience, you’ll enjoy the stunning views of the south-west coast, with its cliffs and unspoilt beaches.
