Three kilometres from Guía de Isora is Chío, one of the most populated areas in the municipality.
Traditional buildings, characteristic of rural areas and located around the square, narrow alleys, elements such as water spouts, which until not too long ago were used daily by the residents, and an old church form a small historic centre that you will fall in love with.
The first chapel in the village was built in the 17th century, but it was demolished because it had become too small for the number of parishioners (despite having undergone modifications to adapt to different periods) and, in its place, the church of San Juan Bautista de Chío was built in 1960. Inside, you can see two particularly beautiful images: Our Lady of Peace and Saint John the Baptist.
Take the opportunity to stroll around the surrounding area, where you can see vineyards and breathe in the fresh air.
