Enjoy a warm and sunny winter in Europe

Enjoying a warm and sunny winter in Europe can be a hard wish to fulfil, as most European regions have cold winters, with low temperatures and shorter days. However, some areas of southern Europe tend to have milder, sunnier winters than northern Europe.

Mediterranean coast: The coastal regions of southern Europe, such as the coasts of Spain, Italy and Greece and the south coast of France, tend to have milder winters than northern Europe. Temperatures rarely drop to extremely cold levels, and you can enjoy sunny days even in winter.

Malta and Cyprus: These two Mediterranean islands also offer milder, sunnier winters than northern Europe. They are popular destinations for those looking to escape the winter cold.

Algarve, Portugal: The Algarve region in southern Portugal is known for its mild climate all year round. Although winter nights can be cold, the days are usually sunny and pleasant.

Canary Islands: These Spanish islands, located in the Atlantic off the coast of Africa, are famous for their warm climate all year round. Even in winter, the weather is usually pleasant and sunny, with no extreme seasons.

The Canary Islands are known for their very pleasant climate all year round, which means mild temperatures and none of the extreme seasons found in many other parts of the world. Here are some features of winter in the Canary Islands:

Temperatures: usually range between 15°C and 24°C in coastal areas. In the highest parts of the islands, such as Teide on Tenerife, temperatures can drop further and even reach freezing on some nights, but this is the exception rather than the rule.

Rainfall: winter is the wettest season in the Canary Islands, but even so, rainfall is moderate. The western islands, such as Tenerife and La Palma, tend to be wetter than the eastern ones, such as Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Overall, however, the climate remains relatively dry compared with other parts of Europe.

Outdoor activities: winter is an ideal time to enjoy outdoor activities in the Canary Islands. The mild temperatures make it possible to go hiking, cycling and do other sports all year round. Winter is also whale and dolphin watching season in the Canaries, which draws many visitors. The Guía de Isora coast offers a wide variety of outdoor leisure activities.

Tourism: even in winter, the Canary Islands remain a popular tourist destination. Many European tourists visit the islands at this time of year to escape the winter cold in their home countries and enjoy the pleasant weather.

Guía de Isora, known for its dry and stable climate all year round, is an ideal place to escape the harshest winters.
