History
Manuel Martín González, born on the fourteenth of June 1905 in Guía de Isora, received his training despite his modest means. At the age of 18 he emigrated to Cuba (1923-1932), where he spent nine years of his life, working mainly in advertising. On his return to his homeland he began a new period known as his “landscape” stage, and decided to travel round all the islands to better capture the beauty of the Canary Islands’ landscapes.
Every stroke of his brush seems to tell silent stories of the places he visited, immortalising fleeting moments on canvases that transcend time.
