The Film Festival was founded in 2006 with the aim of exploring a comprehensive view of the world through the possibilities of documentary filmmaking and by yielding the creation of discourse to other cultures and civilizations. It focuses primarily on films produced or shot in Third World countries and those in the process of development.
Throughout the week-long duration of the festival, conferences, roundtable discussions, talks, and colloquiums are held with the main guests of the event. Additionally, there are parallel activities such as outdoor cinema, concerts, and workshops related to the festival’s themes.
