Alcalá is a town that is known for its diverse coastline. There’s a large, relaxing sunbathing area at the harbour with a small, natural beach, plus 3 other beaches and natural swimming pools where you can bathe safely and sunbathe in serenity.
With its clear blue waters, there are many opportunities to go diving or snorkelling and see the myriad of sea creatures that live beneath the surface. You can also take in the fantastic panoramic views along the coast and over the sea to La Gomera. There is a beautiful walk through the gardens that surround the area with something for everyone to enjoy.

Blue Flag is an annual award and a certification system for environmental quality developed by FEE since 1987. It promotes and rewards participation in voluntary environmental initiatives by municipal authorities, local and visitor population and agents of the tourism sector. The criteria for obtaining the Blue Flag are grouped into four areas: Bathing water quality, Information and environmental education, Environmental management and Safety, services and facilities.
